This month we are launching our new series, Grab a Beer with OTTE Gear, where we…well…grab a beer with some of our favorite characters who inhabit the OTTE world we live in and have them answer a series of questions meant to probe and expose their innermost thoughts and feelings. Or at least give us a good laugh.
We start with our very own Zach Stone, heralded manager of our social media & marketing. Zach is a Kiwi who grew up in Australia. During a trip to Italy back in the free and easy days, he met the love of his life, followed her back to the USA, got hitched and some time later made 2 beautiful babies (not at the same time). Zach is passionate about what he does in our industry. He is an avid outdoorsman, adventurer, shooter and all around ridgy-didge guy. So let's not drink with the flies, crack open a cold one and get to know a little more about him.
What is your happy place? My lake house.
What do you avoid at all costs? Religious and political conversations, it’s all fun and games til someone loses an eye.
What is the trait you most dislike in yourself? The need to know everything.
What is the trait you most dislike in others? The lack of them knowing anything.
What is your most extravagant purchase to-date? My watch, that Deepsea life.
What was your state of mind as you walked into this bar? Where is the nearest exit and what scotch do they have.
On what occasion do you lie (we know you NEVER do)? When the wife asks how much I spent on my last gun purchase.
What one thing would you change about your appearance? Add 3 inches…to my height.
Which super-hero talent would you most like to have? Is Ron Jeremy a superhero?
If you had to wear Multicam Alpine or Multicam Tropic head-to-toe the rest of your life, which would it be? Alpine baby.
If you were left alone in the Rockies for a week, what 2 items would you pack for defense? My aero 7.5 300blk and my custom G17.
Everyday carry of choice? G19 custom with a TXC ally holster.
What’s filling your OTTE Gear Tactical Packing Cubes? Everything I need in a day: @northamericanrescue med kit, Cohiba cigar, spare G19 mag and AR mag, PVS-15 nods, canister of smoke, and a bottle of Blanton’s single barrel.

Favorite OTTE piece and why?OTTE Gear Super L Windshirt. This jacket is so slick, stuff it in your back pocket and it WILL save your ass.
