The Dire Armory IFAK XL (DireFAK XL) is a highly capable, expanded trauma kit engineered for users who require greater capacity without sacrificing the compact, streamlined form factor the DireFAK line is known for. Designed by David Scalf in collaboration with OTTE Gear, the DireFAK XL is built on the same foundation of meticulous research, hands-on trauma experience, and purpose-driven design as the original GOVT Edition.

Created to serve as a more general-purpose offering within the Dire Armory × OTTE Gear medical lineup, the XL provides additional internal organization and storage while maintaining rapid accessibility and exceptional durability. Constructed from laminated Squadron fabric, it remains robust, abrasion-resistant, and water-resistant. The front panel includes loop material for ID or medical patches and features a low-profile, IR-compliant black stitched medical cross.

The DireFAK XL retains the integrated belt/strap system, designed to route easily through battle belts, plate carrier cummerbunds, or any preferred mounting location. The rear strap incorporates a laser-cut MOLLE attachment platform with removable integrated webbing. Inside, a hook panel allows for modular expansion with accessories such as our tourniquet wing. Trauma shears and a tourniquet integrate seamlessly, with a laser-cut pass-through enabling fast external access to shears right from the pouch’s exterior.

The XL edition adds multiple internal compartments to keep medical essentials organized, accessible, and secure—ideal for users who prefer a more comprehensive trauma setup.
